To honour 100 years, KARHU is proud to introduce a unique collaboration with their friends at Finnair. The Finnair Mestari Control was developed for the cabin and ground crews of Finland’s premier airline. Dressed in all-black, the silhouette perfectly complements the updated Finnair uniform. Additional detailing such as the tongue label, footbed, and box design were done in collaboration with Finnish designer and frequent KARHU collaborator, Sasu Kauppi.
Additionally, the Mestari Control utilizes a slip-resistant outsole equipped with a unique traction pattern that was also inspired by shoes from KARHU’s back catalogue. The upper is stitched from synthetic suede and nylon and includes an anti-microbial lining. For added in-flight comfort, an Ortholite footbed provides another layer of protection and just the right amount of softness underfoot.
